Catching up

Aren't they such a cute couple?

So, I guess I've had plenty of time to recover from the wedding. I should have posted a long time before now. Especially since I didn't even do half the work others did for it. I really enjoyed my time with all of the family. It was so nice to have everyone together even for just a short time. The most enjoyable thing for me was to see just how happy Wood was. I was taking a stroll down memory lane and remembering all the fun times growing up with Wood. I feel like I have seen him at his best and his worst. But I know he was happy there in the temple with Woodine.

In other news, we are babysitting our friends' hampster for two weeks while they are on vacation. I am reminded how much I don't really enjoy pets/animals (especially in my home). I know that some of you are pet/animal lovers, so I don't mean any offense. I am not to the point of HATING pets, like some of my siblings, but I just don't enjoy them. I have often felt compassion for an injured or even just lonely pet, but not love. Anyway, the hampster is in our living room, so we don't forget that we are taking care of him. But sometimes I can't shake the fear that he will escape and I will have an animal loose in my house. I am glad that J knew when he said that we would watch this hampster he knew that he would be the one to be taking care of it. I think I will just stick with goldfish, IF I ever have the desire to have a pet.

J has been working very hard on transfering schools. This has been a pretty long, drawn out process for us and I will be grateful when it is complete. He will be visiting Northeastern State University on Wednesday and we hope it is a good visit since it is the best transfer opportunity we can find. So with all this change, I am pretty sure J will be able to go to reunion with me. Yeah!

I think that pretty much covers all the catching up I had.

I love "Woodine's" name. That cracked me up, but I had no one to share the humour of it with yet. Yes, it was a lovely wedding and reception. I am so happy Woodine is part of the family now. The other day I mentioned to someone that my kids' Uncle Wood got married, and my kids thoughtfully added, "AND Aunt Woodine!!"

I hope things go well for the transfer. I wish schools would work together better!

Yeah for J and M coming to reunion together! Has J been to one before? D will be sure to give him some moral support, when needed!
